ABOUT SURA

Sura is a 33-year-old girl called Þura Stína. She is a graphic designer, an art director and a producer.

She has a BA as a Graphic Designer in Visual Communications from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. She graduated in the year 2016 and worked on a funded innovation project with product designers in the summer of 2016. This project was chosen as the top 10 best innovation projects in Iceland that year.

She started working as a Graphic Designer at the advertising agency Brandenburg in the fall of 2016 and in 2018 she started working for the youngster in the production business: Ketchup Creative. There she was doing multiple works as graphic design, art directing, directing, producing ads, and also account managing many of their clients. She was the Experience Designer for DesignMarch 2021 and the Producer for DesignTalks in 2022 for the festival. She is also producing the conference for next year held in May of 2023. She is now living in Milan where she is taking her Master of Arts degree in Visual Design and Integrated Marketing Communication at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti). She has produced many music videos and commercials and also directed both.

SURA has been active in the music scene in Iceland and is currently in the band Daughters of Reykjavík. She recently created a production company of her own, SURA productions and does freelance work in directing, producing and designing.
